10 Reasons Why!!! By Steve Harris, President PMC Homes
Feature #1: All PMC pad sites are built-up and follow the engineer's drainage plan for the development when completing the yard grades.
Benefit: Proper drainage around your home.
Feature #2: Post tension slabs provided by StressCon, an established Tulsa engineering firm with on-site inspections.
Benefit: This system of cables is installed under pressure making the slab physically impossible to fail.
Feature #3: Silent Floors are engineered I-joists that are part of PMC's "whole house" philosophy of building with materials that function together from the perspective of cost-efficient, solid engineering and performance for the homeowner.
Benefit: Solid, silent floor systems with a guarantee from PMC Homes that in the unlikely event that your floor system develops squeaks or any other problem due to defect, we will promptly remedy that problem at no cost to you.
Feature #4: Engineered 2x4 studs are used in all of our framed wall partitions.
Benefit: Our "Whole House" philosophy is to utilize engineered products which will not shrink, warp, twist, split or crown wherever feasable. These product technologies use plentiful, fast-growing trees to "reinvest the forest" and are environmentally friendly.
Feature #5: Dupont Tyvek House Wrap.
Benefit: Helps protect against air infiltration, manages moisture vapor; helps reduce energy bills and even helps maintain good indoor air quality
Feature #6: Commercially rated windows and doors.
Benefit: Fewer leaks and less air infiltration with a 15 year warranty from the manufacturer against any defects in material and workmanship.
Feature #7: Interior trim is part of PMC's old world design concept. Common areas have extensive use of crown moldings, wainscotting in the dining room, cabinets trimmed with crown molding, and window sills with rounded corners. All trim at hard surface floor covering is caulked.
Benefit: Our "old world design" concept presents a warm, tasteful, understated feel that is timeless.
Feature #8: Cabinets features varnish or laminate exteriors, concealed hinges in most door styles, Whisper Glide drawer systems, rollout trays in most styles, and many unique design features as standards.
Benefit: The durable finishes resists scratches, stains, warping, and yellowing. Concealed hinges not only offer a clean look, buy they won't clash with your choice of decor. Whisper Glide roller systems helps drawers and trays glide smoothly, quietly, and wobble-free.
Feature #9: Painting the interior and exterior of your home is a very important process which is part of PMC's Total Quality Management concept. We believe that the performance of your home is greatly affected by the materials we select and the process we use in painting your home.(1) PMC Homes have baked on primers and those that don't are primed on site.(2) Our homes are sealed and caulked properly.(3) All surfaces receive two coats of covering.(4) The interior trim is primed and finish-coated with oil base enamel.
Benefit: Priming the subsurface lengthens the life and reduces peeling and fading. Sealing and caulking prevents water and air infiltration and protects the subsurface. Oil base paints prevent peeling and yellowing and give a warm rich luster.
Feature #10:ProHome - a 12-month warranty and on-site agreement which includes a pre-closing walk-thru, a 30 day and an 11 month review, all which are part of PMC's written contract.
Benefit: Written warranty protection, one call convenience for emergency service, trained professionals, builder communication, quality assurance, new orientation, guaranteed craftsmanship, follow-up communication.
